Robert Blitz is a veteran of the architectural, engineering and construction industry. Over the course of over 20 years, Robert has worked at such firms as Ebasco Services, Raytheon Engineers & Constructors and Earth Tech (formerly a Tyco company and now part of AECOM). Serving as the business partner and senior finance executive to division presidents, Robert effectively has served as a blend of COO and CFO.
Working with these firms, Robert has gained experience across all types of engineering inclusive of environmental, consulting, construction, transportation and water. Most recently, Robert led a turnaround of the O&M Services business segment at Southwest Water Company. With experience that encompasses finance, management, strategic planning and business development, his forte is utilizing a cross functional approach to build top line and bottom line growth. In his last three positions, each division where Robert has worked achieved a 50%-200% growth in profit within two years.
Client experience has included both Government and Commercial clients. Government work has ranged from large Government entities such as NASA and the United States Army Corps of Engineers to State entities such as the Port Authority of New York & New Jersey, New York City Metropolitan Transit Authority and the California DOT. Commercial clients have included such mainstays as PG&E, BART, Lockheed Martin, US Steel, Con Edison and many others.
The divisions that Robert has worked in have provided diversified services such as engineering studies and consulting, construction, environmental services and remediation, quality programs, utility, transportation and water. The size of divisions has ranged from $40 Million to $400 Million
